Code Vein 2: Twin Blades Locations & Interactive Tracking Guide

Twin Blades are one of Code Vein 2's two brand-new weapon archetypes — dual lightweight swords that didn't exist in the original game.

Where Rune Blades orbit and float, Twin Blades stay in hand: one in each, executing devastating multi-hit combos with a hit count per second that no other weapon class in the game approaches.

That speed is their defining weapon characteristic, and the reason they pair so well with status effect builds. All Twin Blade locations are tracked on MapMaster's Code Vein 2 interactive maps.

What Are Twin Blades in Code Vein 2?

Twin Blades are lightweight dual swords held in both hands simultaneously. Light attacks chain rapidly with almost no recovery window between hits — a full weak attack string connects five to seven times before the animation resets, which is what makes them exceptional at applying status ailments.

Strong attacks vary per weapon: most perform a forward-spinning slash or a dive thrust. Charged strong attacks on certain Twin Blades unleash elemental effects — the Twinfang Blades, for example, alternate fire and ice on charged attacks.

Like Rune Blades, Twin Blades support the mid-air combo system: a mid-air weak attack chains directly into a mid-air strong attack, keeping pressure on airborne or elevated enemies.

Their light weight keeps most builds in the Quick dodge tier without stat investment, making them the most mobile melee option in the game — and a natural pairing with the Reaper Jail, which allows parrying and generates Ichor on hit, fuelling the Combat Formae that drive Twin Blade burst damage.

Twin Blade Scaling: Dexterity Primary, Varied Secondary

Most Twin Blades scale primarily with Dexterity — VK Dual Blades (Dexterity/Strength), Fangs of the Hunter (Dexterity), Jade Curved Blades (Dexterity).

The Superbia Bloodline: Noah 3 Blood Code is the most commonly recommended Twin Blades Blood Code — it provides enough Dexterity margin to wield most Twin Blades without Overburden, and its third Trait activates bonus damage on consecutive hits, which fires almost constantly during a Twin Blades combo string.

A small number of Twin Blades use different stat pairs: Twin Fangs of the Lone Wolf scales with Mind and Willpower (DLC only), the Twinfang Blades with Dexterity and Willpower, and Glutton's Bells with Strength and Mind. These outliers expand the class's build range beyond pure Dexterity.

Status Effects: The Twin Blades' Defining Advantage

The multi-hit nature of Twin Blade attacks builds status ailment meters faster than any other weapon type.

Venom and Stun transformation at Jadwiga's workshop at MagMell Hub are the two most effective transformations against humanoid bosses — the hit count fills their meters in a single extended combo rather than the multiple weapon cycles a Hammer or Greatsword would require.

Bleed status applies naturally from high hit-count combat; Venom requires weapon transformation.

For Combat Formae, Scorpion is the top pick — a counter-attack skill that fires on successful parry and enables the hit-and-run rhythm that Twin Blades are built for.

Relentless Sword Dance is the primary boss window tool, and Phantom Assault works as an engage gap-closer identical to the Sword pairing. All three are tracked on the Combat Formae interactive maps.
